Comment on Fat Score 1 Cattle
Heifers are in a light store condition typical of second round northern cattle at this time of year. weaned at the end of 2020 and have done it reasonably tough through this period. if trucking distances greater than 800km a spell would be highly recommended. although light in condition heifers are considered fit and healthy with adequate energy levels.

Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Generally good to handle. This mob has a sound temperament and although a small percentage became agitated in the head bail or race with close pressure settled quickly and comfortably after exiting the headbail. these heifers handled well and had no concerns moving between yards and within 20 minutes of drafting were laying down and settled in the yard.

Assessor Comments
4 decks of light condition #0 heifers. Heifers are in light store condition typical of northern bred cattle at this time of year and present with good moderate frame and no weight with plenty of compensatory weight gain on offer. predominately vendor bred out of a highly functional herd of cows based on CBV Brahman genetics with an emphasis on fertility, non vendor bred portion purchased with property and are of a similar quality and type with some charbray influence. Heifers are out of lighter country that will perform well with better nutrition, genetically these heifers should grow into good medium frame breeders with some of the best fertility traits in the business. 15% black and brindle, 33% grey, 52% Reds and honeys odd heifer with some white or a broken baldy face. heifers have been running with bulls but given their weight and body score it would be unlikely that any percentage is in calf.
