Steers have cut up a little over the past week with some storms on them. no issues trucking long distance, fit and healthy and now on a rising plane of nutrition.

Steers were a pleasure to handle through the yards, odd steer baulked going into the weigh box or exited the headbail after mouthing briskly, neither of which would be considered unexpected. after assessment Steers stood quietly and calmly for photos and in many instances needed to be moved away from the camera. walked out after assessment easily with 2 men on motorbikes.

3 decks of softer Composite type crossbred ideal to backgrounder to heavy feeders.
temperament is spot on with these boys handling very well through the yards and easily let out after assessment, it is not hard to see the education these boys have received.
Core Breeding herd is made up of predominately Drensmaine and canowindra Santas, Rondel Droughtmasters, 5-Star Senepol/Charolais cross throughout with pluto and chatfield brahman influence.
30hd of #1 and heavier steers mouthed with all 30 being milk tooth. 100% weighed at assessment after 4 hrs off feed and water 330-495kg full weight to average 399.5 full weight at assessment.
these steers received 5mm of rain on them 2 days prior to assessment and have been in a holding paddock until assessment. would expect these steers to quickly regain any lost weight and as such may be slightly heavier at delivery.
Vendors have another 4 decks of Brahman type steers in this sale and would like to deliver both lots at the same time.

Predominately 2nd round weaners from 2021 with a smaller percentage of first round #2 weaners. these steers have continued to grow well and show plenty of bone and frame. genuinely quiet steers with a lot of time spent on their education.
