These were very good to handle in all areas of the yards. They marched up the race very well and most were steady on the weighing platform. They were also good to handle in the bigger yards but like all cattle probably need to be steadied through gateways and stood up well during photographing. Buyer advised to settle these heifers on arrival before letting them go out of the yards. Contractors stated these are very good to handle on horses in the paddock.

Buyers, here are 180 Santa and Santa cross yearling heifers that have had any coloured heifers removed to make these a very attractive line of red heifers, hard to buy. They present in store to forward store condition and their temperament cannot be faulted. These heifers had a tough start to life as it didn’t start to rain here until about October 2023, prior to that they were on rations. They have really bounced away in a big way since the rain started. Heifers exhibit softness, plenty of length, depth of barrel and plenty of femininity. They will make top class replacement breeders for a restocker wishing to purchase a line of very even red heifers. The vendors are not frightened to spend money on the right genetics, always looking to move their herd forward, not just marking time & it certainly shines through in these. We are receiving excellent feedback from past buyers about the performance of the steers they often offer on AuctionsPlus. The coloured heifers are also in the sale.
