Steers were a pleasure to handle through the yards, odd steer baulked going into the weigh box or exited the headbail after mouthing briskly, neither of which would be considered unexpected. settled again easily once assessed.

Assessor Comments
3 decks of soft Santa and Santa X steers with miles of bone and frame about them. temperament is spot on with these boys handling very well through the yards and easily let out after assessment, it is not hard to see the education these boys have received. mixture of genetics includine Drensmaine and canowindra Santas, Rondel Droughtmasters, 5-Star Senepol/Charolais cross and Androssan Angus and Ultra-Black bulls. 2 x steers would be described as having some murray grey influence with approx 10 x Droughtmaster X Santa, 9 x Ultrablack X Santa and 5 x Senepol/Charolais X Santa. 20hd of the mob mouthed with 100% milk tooth. 100% weighed at assessment after 16 hrs off feed and water to average 324kg. very good quality backgrounder steers that are HGP Free, Clean and ready to continue their journey onto heavy feeders or Grass bullocks. Vendors have another line of heavier steers in this sale and would like to deliver both lots at the same time.
