These heifers were very good to handle in & out of the yards. When let out of the yards they walked away nice and quietly. They have only been weaned for just over a week. A handful of the heifers stirred up in the race and crush but settled down when let out with the others. These heifers have been pound drafted and had a 60km truck trip from the vendors other property.

Assessor Comments
79 VGQ HGP free crossbred heifers with good bone, length, depth & frame for their breed & age. They are ideal backgrounding heifers that would grow into good feeder or slaughter heifers or the lead could be kept as future breeders. These heifers are from a highly regarded herd & they will continue to perform well on good quality feed. They are very quiet with tidy heads & good feet. Those heifers with horns, have only very small weaner horns. 5 heifers have either a blue or cloudy eye (see photo of heifer with the worst eye) & 1 heifer with heavy breathing. They are vendor bred (5 family brands) out of large frame cows by VGQ bulls. The majority were weaned over the past week. These weaner heifers have been very well handled and were in the yard Sunday night & had 25mm of rain so were let out into the holding paddock and re-yarded on Tuesday morning prior to assessing. Vendor has another 2 lots of weaners in this sale. "Weston" is Prickly Acacia free where these heifers are running.
