Steers worked through yard sensibly. In weighing area a few steers showed flight fear at close quatres, back in mob no issues observed.

15 Vendor bred Angus yearling steers 14 hours dry in yard before weighing average 313kg with a range of 265kg to 373kg. No eye faults, good in feet, no body faults noticed, no mobility issues observed. Steers show good bone and good body development. Had no vaccines. Were treated 1/3/2024 with 18ml Levemisole low volume backline. Early winter coat is noticeable buffalo fly activity around stock was observed with no raw bite areas showing at this stage. Scales set on level concrete platform tested ok prior to weighing. 14 steers out of 15 mouthed milk teeth observed are short and typical of age and will be towards early stage of 2 permanent teeth erupting.
