These steers were a pleasure to work through the yards, calm and sensible. They worked very well through a noisy, moving portable panel yard that they had not been in before.

Assessor Comments
Buyers here is a very good run of very quiet, well handled, soft, organic, mostly British/Euro, properly weaned steers presenting in store condition. All the hard work has been done on these steers and it is expected that they would bound ahead on good feed. Vendor did a blanket wean on these steers, weaning down to approx. 110kg and as a result there are 4 smaller and younger steers could only be described as poddy looking. 19 steers were noted to have a varying amount of hair loss around, brisket, neck and shoulders, suspected to be lice, being Organic they have had no chemical treatments. 2 steers have what appears to be ring worm around head and neck, one steer has a blue spot in his eye and another has a cloudy eye, neither would be detrimental. A further steer has quite a large amount of hair missing from front and hind legs and may have been bogged in dam (photo). Please note Vendor has 3 other lots of steers in the same sale and 4 lots of heifers.
