Comment on Fat Score 1 Cattle
These cattle are actually quite fresh with the low fat scores being mainly due to breed type and age. Generally quite good cover for Brahman cattle in this region.

Temperament not assessed in Paddock
These young cattle handle really quite well with only a handful stirring up in the crush and quickly quietened when back in the mob. Given that this was the first handling for app 50% of these calves they behaved very well. Typical temperament for Northern Brahman cattle and no aggression at all.

Assessor Comments
A very handy run of young backgrounders - 102 entire male weaners and 91 steers. * please note that only 91 steers are treated with Compudose 200 and the entire males can be consigned with a separate vendor deck declaring HGP free. I was particularly impressed with the shape of these calves, they show plenty of scope for putting serious weight on if shown the right nutrition. Predominantly Grey and Honey with 16 blacks and brindles included - these coloured cattle still show terrific Brahman characteristics. Notice 4 head with healed fly bite scarring. Please note that the heads are very tidy and while a had to mark 102 head as horned, they are only small buds that will tidy up easily.
