Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Steers were generally pretty good to handle in all areas of the yards. There were a few ring leaders that tended to trot around a bit when being videoed and photographed, definitely nothing stirry though. In the crush there were a few that did get stirred up but most of this was due to being caught in the head bale while being mouthed and injected. They settled once they were let out of the crush when they reached the mob.

Assessor Comments
Steers that show great length, muscling, softness and weight for age. A sample of these were mouthed with 22% that have either cut their two teeth or are just cutting. They will certainly suit all export feedlots for 100 day programs and look to be just hitting their straps now they are on the oats crop. They are very clear in the eyes and nasal area and look to be very healthy. Most are flatback types however the there are a few straighter Droughtmaster types in the line and some of these do have a slight hump, visible in the photos and videos. These are expected to load onto a 4.5 deck unit comfortably and be aware there is a further 2 deck lot of lighter steers as well in the sale. There wasn't any tick visible at assessment and they have been pre-treated in an effort for them to clear but no guarantees can ever be given with ticks.
