Assessor Comments
A good to very good quality line of vendor bred steers. These vendor bred steers are medium to large frame. They were all mouthed at assessment with 22 x milk tooth (2 head showing wear on the milk teeth), one steer with one tooth and one steer as two tooth. With a LWR of 310 - 436 kg full, they suit to take onto feed for the domestic/light export feeder markets. They also suit to take onto crop and finish for a a range of domestic and export slaughter markets. They have not had grain or cotton seed during their lives. One steer had photosensitivity damage to its ears and on both sides of its mid back line (see photos) but it is 406 kg and a milk tooth so its growth has not been limited. One steer also noted with slight undershot jaw - not considered detrimental. Good quality steers that will continue to grow on given good feed.
