Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Steers were very good to handle in all areas of the yards and also considered quiet when moving from yard to yard. In the crush they were generally quiet even whilst being fitted with an NLIS device. Generally, the temperament is not an issue at all. Buyers should be warned however, most cattle need to be settled down on arrival after a truck trip and in strange surroundings before they are shown the bush gate.

Assessor Comments
Buyers, a 2 deck line of mainly good quality soft flatback type young steers running in light Ironbark forest type country. These steers do not appear to have suffered any setbacks and have presented in mainly good store condition so expected to really go ahead quickly on heavier country. Most show adequate weight for age and length and very good muscling and bone development. They will suit restockers to take them through on either crop or improved pastures to heavier export feeder weights or most for domestic entry now. They do appear to be in very good health, very clear in the eye and no respiratory issues. Buyers in clean country be aware these will have had two plunge dips in preparation for entry to all tick free areas. Please note there are a lighter 2 deck line of steers in this sale from the same property. Repeat buyers are now operating and buying these cattle so the "proof is in the pudding". The summer wet isn't over by a long shot so don't get left behind here.
