Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Heifers were great to handle in all areas of the yards. There were approx. 10 that did resent being in the crush but once released exited quietly and returned to the mob without any speed. Out in the bigger yards whilst being photographed and videoed they behaved very well. When released from the yards they all trotted out through double gates without being blocked up and put their heads down and ate grass within 15-20 meters once outside. Temperament not an issue with these.

Assessor Comments
Buyers, a line of EU ACCREDITED and TEYS ANGUS & GRASSLANDS CERTIFIED yearling heifers that present in forward store condition. These will suit EU Angus grass or grain markets however be aware there are four F2 Angus/Herefords in the lot. These have been gaining weight since they were last weighed back in September however the dry season ended back in November so most of the gain would have been since then. The quality of the feed would indicate they are flying ahead however I have put a modest gain on these as there is a little bit of Buffalo fly evident on these although they don’t seem to be irritated by them just yet. Most of these would suit to go straight onto grain now, a few lighter weights might need a top up before they go in though. Photos/videos will show they are fit and healthy with no real blemishes, only two with some eye scarring that looks to be old, but we treated them anyway with Orbenin just in case. Right on the Cunningham Highway which could provide a backload.
