Temperament not assessed in Paddock
The cattle were no problem to handle and draft. One steer wanted to jump when in the crush, just not used to that environment. Generally quiet. No problem to walk around and get close to in yards.

Assessor Comments
A very nice line of Angus steers just drafted off their Angus cross brothers. All steers just starting to do in the last few weeks, it has been a wet winter. Steers have frame and are in store to forward store condition. One steer observed with old pink eye scar (see pics) and one steer slightly cloudy eye, not affecting performance. Bred on Hazeldean and Kidman Angus bloodlines the steers should be suited to backgrounding for either domestic or export markets. One steer had warts on neck, not obsessive (see pics). They weighed between 324 and 412 to average 374kg after being locked up overnight with access to hay. Vendors satisfy most feedlot Angus criteria. These steers are ideal backgrounders as they possess frame and are not too forward in condition. Please note: 10 of their cross bred brothers also being offered for sale.

Annual weaner turnoff. Disappointed with early progress due to wet weather at weaning but these steers are starting to hit their straps now. Present in ideal backgrounding condition.
