Temperament not assessed in Paddock
The cattle were a pleasure to walk around and draft. The wet yards didn't help with extra pressure having to be applied to move the cattle but when they went up the race there was only a small few that resented the crush area. once back in their mob you needed to apply pressure to move them anywhere. Generally quiet.

Assessor Comments
A lovely lot of Hereford cross steers doing well under good management. Good framed, fleshy cattle that are still soft and only 13 to 15 months of age. One drop of calves over approx 2 and a half months, they are out of Bos Indicus cows by Bulls bred for their Hereford commercial herd along Courallie Hereford bloodlines. The cattle show good bone and will pack on plenty of meat. They are generally long bodied and have good temperament being properly weaned back in May. These steers would suit both domestic or export feed yards but with the good season would also be ideal to take on to grass bullocks. Their growth for age is very good considering the wet winter hasn't been conducive to putting on weight. They handled well in wet conditions. Purchasers may have to be flexible with delivery given impending rain predictions.
