Temperament not assessed in Paddock
The cattle are very good to handle moving freely throughout the yard to draft & weigh with minimal rush or need to block up. 6 steers were agitated when isolated in the crush yet are fresh weaned & otherwise display the typical quiet temperament of the Latrobe herd. The majority walking through & onto and off the scales of their own free will.

Assessor Comments
Very good quality Droughtmaster steer weaners 6-13 months. From the Latrobe Droughtmaster stud & commercial herd they carry a great reputation as noted performing cattle within the feeder and grass fed markets. Steers that have have experienced very favourable seasonal conditions not having experienced any setback. Steer weaners showing excellent shape, bone and length with a great inquisitive disposition - the quiet temperament is reflective of the whole Latrobe herd. Very tidy heads with the majority poll, cleanly dehorned & a small number with baby horn. 1 mark - no age brands, stud year prefix used.
