Assessor Comments
A very astute well bred line of EU Angus weaner heifers that are 100 % Glenavon angus blood. This line of future breeders will not only suit the the accredited EU breeders but any one looking for a very smart female to top up there herd or to be base for their future herd. Heifers are well grown at 8-10 months and averaged 283 kgs at assessment. Heifers are famine types that show stretch and softness that should continue to grow into lovely females. A focus and emphasis is put on IMF, 600 day weight, mature cow weight and milk in the EBV traits when selecting bulls for the Glendon herd. This annual draft is due to heifers being surplus to requirements and now offers a great opportunity to any one to fast track their production plan by introducing these heifers backed with quality Glenavon genetics that has been built up over many years. A rare chance to capitalize on a deflated market with such quality females.
