Steers were very quiet to handle in all sections of the yards and extremely calm on the weighing platform. These have settled down very well since weaning and throughout the education process.

Assessor Comments
Buyers here is a deck lot of Angus steers calved down out of some purchased Angus heifers from the New England. They look to have plenty of breeding in them visually and considering they are out of 1st calf heifers have had an excellent start. These are bred in lighter country but don’t look to have had any setbacks since birth and I would expect these to perform very well on some heavier country especially now they have been through the weaning process. These were young at weaning and look to be starting to clean up in the coat now the winter is over. They are carrying absolutely no condition so I would expect these to really pack on the kilos on some improved pastures. Noted 1 steer with a small blue dot in one eye (photo attached), definitely not active blight. Also 2 steers with light wart. These will suit to background to heavier weights for either domestic or export feedlot specs or to take through for all grassfed slaughter orders. Vendor also has 24 heifers in the same sale.
