Calves have been extremely well worked and broken with horses and dogs and low stress handling techniques. They also have been a campdraft in recent weeks and has settled them down really well.

Assessor Comments
Genuine lightweight steer weaners. All out of PTIC cows purchased last year, so there is a real mixture of bloodlines. Majority are out Angus cows but there were some Black Baldy cows as well as some cows with a slight influence of Bos Indicus. All care has been taken to remove the bos indicus types but there are some weaners with a little bit more ear but showing no other Bos indicus traits. The calves are just ready to explode now, they have been weaned a month, broken in with horses and dogs properly and have attended a campdraft. These calves are ready to power ahead on fresh autumn/winter feed or crop. Note there are 2 calves with some small amount of pink eye scarring in one eye only.
