The heifers were a pleasure to handle through the yards at assessment. The odd heifers stirred up under pressure in the crush but calmed down once released.

Assessor Comments
Approx. 120 (3 decks) of GQ Charbray & BrahmanX heifers. The heifers are out of medium framed BrahmanX cows and are sired by GQ Brahman & Charbray bulls. At assessment these heifers weighed 124 – 312kg to avg 217kg after being mustered and walked 5km to the yards. 10 head were mouthed and 9 presented milk teeth & 1 just breaking 2teeth. The breed breakdown in this mob is approximately 50% Charbray and 50% Brahman & CharolaisX. They have been pre treated for tick with Baymac or Toromac LV Pour-on. Heifers have plenty of compensatory gain and will go ahead on good feed. This line of heifers would be an asset to any herd for future breeding or background for the domestic feeder market. Please note there is 1 other lot (120 head) in this auction.
