Very quiet. They are good to handle in the paddock and yards. They were a bit stirrier than normal, however there were a few factors that didn't help. Vendor's cattle are usually a pleasure to handle. A few steers were slightly agitated in the crush. Round Yard Drafted.

112 VGQ HGP Treated Vendor Bred Brahman Cross Steers. They Exhibit Good Bone, Length, Depth and Frame for their age. They will grow into VGQ Heavy Feeders or Bullocks suitable for Export & Live Export Markets. Bred in GQ Forest Country, they will power ahead on softer country. There are 88 with Defined Humps, 19 with Slight Humps & 5 Flatbacks. There are 16 that are HGP Free with the rest HGP Treated as weaners 12 months ago. There are 3 Steers with Flybite markings in their neck & 1 Steer with small warts on his neck. 100% weighed & mouthed at assessment, they had a big walk in that morning & did seem hollow. Offering them cents/kg to keep it fair as they could cut up with rain this week. There was no visible tick at assessment. Vendor will deliver the Steers to the Hughenden Saleyards & offer them clear of the dip & weighed after a 12 hour overnight curfew off feed & water. Vendor has 2 decks of Heifers in the same sale & parents have similar steers next door in the same sale.
