Temperament not assessed in Paddock
The steers were generally unsettled in the race and crush. However they had just been taken off the cows and seemed to be more uneducated then stirry. At least three steers were rated as stirry (moderately unsettled) in the race but then stood quietly in the crush. They will be worked through the yards during weaning and will also be tailed out into a laneway. Not educated to dogs, horses or electric fences.

Assessor Comments
A good to very good quality line of medium to large frame steers. These Angus and Angus cross vendor bred steers have the frame and conformation to take through to heavy export feeder weights and then grain or crop finish for a range of high quality markets. They were taken off their mothers at assessment and will be yard weaned until delivery. They have been running with their mothers on very good feed and are showing strong weight for age. They are located very close to Whyalla feedlot right on the Yelarbon - Texas Rd which could possibly assist with transport. Very good quality steers that will continue to move ahead on good feed.
