These heifers handled well considering they had just come straight off cows. Heifers were settled on their mothers but when taken off as small individual groups for the first time they did rush around a little. After being locked up for weaning over the next week until delivery plus also with next few lots of handling these heifers will settle down to be docile cattle like the rest of the Marrington herd.

Assessor Comments
An excellent quality small line of Marrington Shorthorn heifers. These heifers are typical to the Marrington herd displaying softness, structural correctness, great weight for age and excellent muscling for the breed. These heifers were weaned on assessment day and will settle down in to top quality breeding females that will be for the front paddock. As assessment time was late it was hard to get photos that do justice to the quality of these heifers. Please take time to see heifers in video. *note very odd heifer showed slight blue scaring in eye from old treated pinkeye. These eyes are nearly completely cleared up and have to be looked at quite closely to notice.*
