Temperament not assessed in Paddock
These steers have had no handling since weaning and handle well considering. Given small set of yards they seemed to block up and work ok through yards. As a group they wanted to rush back and forth as a mob and when singled out were not used to being handled. If handled a few more times these cattle should settle down well.

Assessor Comments
A line of steers that were purchased as quite well bred calves. These steers were majority early weaned due to lack of summer rain in the forest country north of Richmond. Since arriving these steers have only seen green pick and dry summer grass that has been rained on with little value. Given the store condition, frame and breeding of these calves they have the potential to perform well with quick gain on heavier grass country or on early crop. A good opportunity to purchase lighter weight store steers without the fright bill from the far north. *Note 1 was noticed to have been missed at marking that is still an entire male. This was only one noticed at assessment however it can not be certain if there may be another in mob. These will be included at delivery.*

Vendor Comments
A good line of steers that have performed well considering they had missed a good start over summer having chased short green pick for the time we have owned them.
