Excellent steers to handle, an absolute credit to the vendors and their education process. steers were drafted through a pound draft prior to assessment and walked in to pound on their own and calmly waited for a gate. small percentage balked going up the race for assessment on second trip around but none showed any signs of aggression and were easily turned around and moved up the race. small percentage became slightly agitated during mouthing or on the scale platform.

Assessor Comments
A very good quality line of white face Braford and Braford Droughtmaster Cross steers in ideal condition to take forward on feed or carry through to grass bullocks. Out of Droughtmaster/Brahman cross cows by Stud Braford sires from the highly regarded "little Valley" and "Strathgyle" Braford studs would estimate 10% of these steers to show minimal hump height however still good soft types with plenty of style 20% look to have broken baldy faces or white patches. all steers bar 1 (identified with orange tag) have received a 400 day Compudose in October last year and present in a strong store condition and are ready to continue growing out on better pasture or grain. tidy heads with plenty of bone frame about them with miles of room in them to hang kilos on. Exceptional temperament and very well educated an absolute pleasure to work through the yards. 80 head assessed with 33% 302-379kg, 65% between 380 and 450kg and 2% 451-461kg (full weights at assessment).

Vendor Comments
our home bred Braford steers that have all received a 400 day HGP in October 2020. It was our intention to grow these steers out to bullocks however given a lighter season and some spoiling rain the decision has been made to sell earlier.
