Heifers were generally pretty good to handle through all areas of the yards. There were a few that did react negatively to being mouthed (pretty normal). In the bigger yards there did appear to be a few ring leaders that tended to trot around the yards when being photographed but the balance walked out pretty well. They do need to be steadied through gateways but again that is relevant with most cattle. Buyer advised to work cattle steadily & allow sufficient time for them to settle on arrival.

Assessor Comments
Buyers, here is a load of good quality mainly Composite type heifers that have all been vendor pregnancy tested non detectable. These will suit backgrounder operations to take to heavier domestic feedlot entry weights or crop fatteners. Also suitable for restockers to grow out further to mate to the bulls of choice. Most heifers have some Euro or British content in them & look to be ideal high performing domestic heifers that have plenty of carcass potential. Vendor has several properties so will in all likelihood have multiple PIC numbers in the tags but have been scanned & fully lifetime traceable. These are in a tick area but are guaranteed to clean country with the only stipulation that interstate buyers pay cost of plunge dip at the clearing dip. If you are confused in any way please call either assessor or delivery agent for further clarification on dipping protocols. Be aware there are 3 lots of heifers in the sale from this property that can be used to fill decks.

Vendor Comments
If these heifers remain in a tick area would encourage buyer to treat heifers with 3 germ blood. There has been no tick history on this property for the past 10 years so as a result would expect these to scratch clean without any issues.
