Temperament not assessed in Paddock
These heifers have at no stage had any normal official weaning protocols applied to them. As a result they still behave like normal weaners, quick around the bigger yards & need to be steadied through gateways etc. Nothing in the lot that is considered aggressive in any way. There does appear to be few ring leaders in the lot that contribute to much of this behavior. They did settle reasonably quickly whilst in the yards doing photos/videos etc. Would recommend further education post delivery.

Assessor Comments
Buyers a line of good to very good quality lightweight EU ACCREDITED heifers that present in store to forward store condition. These were weighed after a 21 hour curfew & appeared to be weighing approx. 20kgs lighter than they looked. As a result it is thought these are fully curfewed so would expect rapid weight gains & compensatory gain once they are exposed to a paddock with access to crop or improved pastures rather than the feed yard. Will suit backgrounders to take through to heavier domestic feedlot entry specs or to grow on for future breeding purposes. The seasonal conditions would appear to be changing and the summer storm season is under way so opportunity right here, right now. There are 150 heifers from this place in the sale and they are being presented in three separate lines depending on breed makeup and allows buyers choice in what they wish to purchase.
