Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Heifers were very good to handle in all areas of the yards and also considered quiet when moving from yard to yard. In the crush they were generally quiet even whilst being fitted with an NLIS device. Generally, the temperament is not an issue at all. Buyers should be warned however, most cattle need to be settled down on arrival after a truck trip and in strange surroundings before they are shown the bush gate.

Assessor Comments
Buyers, a line of good quality young soft flatback type heifers running in light Ironbark forest type country that has had minimal rainfall this year. These however do not appear to have suffered any setbacks and have presented in good store condition so expected to really go ahead quickly on better quality and quantity of feed. There was a small number from the drop retained as replacements. These will suit restockers to take through on either crop or improved pastures to heavier domestic feeder weights or grow out for future breeders. They do appear to be in very good health, very clear in the eye and no respiratory issues. Buyers in clean country be aware these will have had two plunge dips in preparation for entry to all tick free areas. Please note the steer portion in this sale from the same property. Buyers are definitely not buying condition, plenty of room to do this yourself with your own feed. Don’t get left behind, buy now before it rains properly.
