Generally very good to handle. weaners worked through the race and head bail exceptionally well with minimal pressure applied. A fair percentage turned around in the race however being their first run through the yards would not consider this unusual. Easily worked through all the yards by 2 people with no concerns.

Assessor Comments
4 decks of mixed sex weaners, 86 x steers with 74 x heifers. very good quality and ideally suited to southern markets. Weaners are out of a highly functional herd of Santa and Santa Cross cows based on Drensmaine Santa genetics by very good quality Powermac and Rondel Droughtmaster bulls. 100% x Branded #1's, all branded and marked, small percentage still require de-horning. weaners are in a strong store condition and show plenty of bone and frame throughout the mob. These weaners have a fantastic reputation as heavy feeder/Slaughter heifers and are being sold much earlier than usual due to a shortened growing season and grass requirements for breeders. A great opportunity to purchase a line of high quality Santa X Weaners that are highly regarded and carry some excellent genetics. odd weaner is rougher in the coat and looks to be showing possible signs of lice, majority of mob is clean coated and looks to be unaffected.

Vendor Comments
A good quality line of young weaners that would typically be held through to heavy feeder weights and joiners however given the season the decision has been made to sell lighter than usual and keep grass for mature breeders.
