Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Steers were generally good to handle through the pound and crush, there was a small percentage that got agitated in the crush this was due to being needled which is quite common. There were no steers that would be described as stirry in the mob in the bigger yards, they did tend to trot around a bit and needed to be steadied through the gates which is quite normal for weaners straight off mum.

Assessor Comments
Buyers please see an opportunity to purchase a line of EU and PCAS eligible weaners that would be best described as Black Simmental and Angus Composites that offer the opportunity for big compensatory gains. These steers would be ideal for restockers to background through to feeders or retain through to grassfed bullocks. Clean country buyers note they are offered GUARANTEED CLEAR of the dip. Buyers please note one steer had old blight scarring in one eye but it was not determined to be detrimental. Buyers please note there were 5 creamy's, 4 red's and one black baldy steer in the draft.
