Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Majority of heifers were easy to handle and work through yards, with some tending to become impatient and nervous under pressure in the crush and while videoing. They did exit the crush pretty quickly but settled once back in the mob. Would tend to react negatively if they got isolated. Some more time spent with them in further weaning protocols would be of benefit for the long term on arrival and go a long way to educating them for the balance of their breeding life.

Assessor Comments
Buyers, a great opportunity presents itself to purchase a group of very good quality Charolais & Charolais infused weaner heifers. These females would make excellent future breeders due to their great weight for age, muscle and bone. They display impressive feminine attributes and are ready to join to the bull of your choice. One third of the group are impressive red factor females, while three have a small percentage of Angus blood on the maternal side. These females would also suit domestic feedlots and have always been well received by previous purchasers. Please note these heifers present in forward store to prime condition due to their exceptional doing ability and favourable season conditions. Heifers are easy to handle and work through yards, however, display typical weaner tendencies and would require some settling and educating once arriving to their new surroundings. Overall a very good quality group of young females, backed by years of high quality Charolais genetics.
