Assessor Comments
A 6% fair, 47% good and 47% very good quality line of Angus and Angus cross weaned heifers. With mostly medium to large frame they suit to take to domestic feeder weights and then finish or a range of high quality markets. All 17 heifers were VET preg tested on 31/08/21 and all needled with Lutalyse to ensure they are not in calf. They were drafted with a LWR of 236-382 kg after a solid 24 hr dry curfew off their mothers. No active pink eye was noted at assessment, but they will be reassessed prior to loading and no cattle with active PE will be loaded. One heifer noted with mod blue eye spot in one eye and a heifer noted with hair loss from rub marks/riding. These heifers are part of their normal turnoff from a herd which is joined all year round. No heifers are retained in the herd. They are a nice small line to background to heavier feeder weights or take and join to a bull of the buyers choice.
