A smaller line of Vendor bred Weaned Angus steers, that were bred on lighter Rocky River country (40km east of Tenterfield). Weaners have been trucked to Vendor's Tenterfield property for assessment and weaning. Steers weighed from 166 - 311kg after a 14 hour dry curfew, to average 216kg. Weaners are generally worked with horses and dogs and were good to handle during assessment and will stay in the yards until delivery with access to hay & silage. Please note 6 steers showing Santa characteristics, 4 steers with scrotum still attached (calves were ringed) , 2 steers showing late cut characteristics (nothing bully) and 3 steers with rub marks. No weight loss allowance has been made for yard weaning - make your own adjustment. Great opportunity to purchase light weight black weaners that will grow on with improved nutrition.
