Lead draft of the Darlow Family Steer Weaners. Annual offering of heavy boned, Hicks Black ABC Composite Steers that offer the best of both worlds carrying the black coat and all the Hybrid Vigour of the Hicks Beef Composite blood to give them that extra punch. Steers have come through a cold, wet winter and have grown out well through a tighter Spring and have gained weight all along the journey. There are still a fair percentage yet to clean up in the coat. Well bred steers that will perform either on grass or grain. There are 2 Red Steers in the draft that are in the top 10% weight range that the purchaser has the right to leave out if desired. Steers show good muscle development, bone and softness and will make outstanding kill bodies. All calves weighed above 336kg at Assessment. Steers are grass fed and antibiotic free and vendor can provide a PCAS Non-Certified Supplier Declaration on request. Vendor also has a second draft of 46 steers in this same sale.
