THE MANAGER ON WOOMARGAMA STATION IMPLEMENTS LOW STRESS CATTLE HANDLING TECHNIQUES. HEIFERS DESCRIBED AS SLIGHTLY STIRRY, SIMPLY BOUNCED AROUND IN THE CRUSH A LITTLE AND WERE MOVING SWIFTLY THROUGH GATES IN THE BACK YARDS. NO STEERS WERE AGGRESSIVE AT ASSESSMENT, PLEASE NOTE THESE HEIFERS HAD NOT BEEN YARDED FOR A NUMBER OF MONTHS AND IN MY OPINION THIS CONTRIBUTED TO THE TEMPERAMENT ASSESSMENT.
