Vendors take temperament of their livestock very seriously and consistently handle and feed stock to diminish any issues. Only a small % showed a slight disdain for being in the crush and assessed but in saying that they still behaved very well and once let out of the crush settled down straight away.

Assessor Comments
A tidy line of Charolais steers 6-10 months of age and average 305 kg empty. These steers are Mt. William and Crozier blood and show all the characteristics of the Charolais breed including bone, stretch and frame. These steers would usually be retained and grown out to feeder weights but due to the season and pasture growth being slower than usual are being sold. Past purchases have been extremely happy with the Kurtze cattle and anyone with feed will see very quick weight gains achieved by these steers.

Vendor Comments
We are very happy with how are steers present being only 6-10 months of age and unfortunately due to our pasture situation being slow to move we cannot keep these steers and grow them into feedlot weights by xmas.
