Assessor Comments
The second draft of the 2020 Aug/Sept drop steers from Coolongolook at Limestone. These steers can best be described as incredibly quiet and extremely well bred. Demonstrating magnificent squareness, depth and heavy boned these cattle will perform extremely well in any grazing situation. Usually grown out to feeder weights or beyond, these steers have previously been sold to Gippsland bullock fatteners, feedlotters and backgrounders with tremendous feedback from all purchasers. The sires of these steers are handpicked from Hicks, Milwillah and Paringa Red Angus & Red Composite studs and 95% of the mothers are vendor bred and the tops of the previous drops of heifers. There is one steer that has thrown to black gene in the composite breed but is equally as good for type and breed quality. Weighed in an extremely tight weight range of 300kg to 316kg at time of assessment. These steers come with my highest recommendation and will satisfy the most discerning of purchasers. EU Accredited
