Cattle handled well in the yards as a group. Through the race and into the crush some were a bit unsettled. Once through and back with the mob they did settle down with the odd steer that would stir a little when under pressure in corners or through gateways.

A very good line of EU and Never Ever Accredited Angus and Black Baldy Steers, all weighed into a tight 50kg weight range between 300-351kg empty (average 325kgs) at assessment. These steers have come through a tough Monaro winter and are behind where they normally would be. These steers will turn inside out with better nutrition with plenty of compensatory weight gain on offer. Ideal steers to grow out to feeder weights or grow out to heavy grass-fed steers. Please note; steers presented hollow at assessment as a result from the day before the assessment they had a 12km walk to a holding paddock before being yarded the day of assessment. Approx 6 steers with old eye scar. There are also 3 other lots in this sale consisting of 34 two-year-old Angus & Black Baldy steers – 11 2-year-old Black Baldy heifers and 60 Hereford Steers (Trading as JJ & DB Hood).
