Steer were well behaved throughout assessment. Led up the race well, and stood sensibly on the scales, with some listed as slightly stirry(SS) just doing some weaving & stomping and exiting at a trot. In the yards they were easy to move between pens, just a few that wanted to rush past the handler, again listed above as SS. Quiet to drive around in the paddock for photos and videos, would be some of the same steers as the yards that wanted to rush away, just having that bit bigger flight zone.

Assessor Comments
Tops of the Drop of the annual turn off of the Whiteley family Autumn drop weaners. Stemming from pure Te Mania Angus Bloodlines, with the recent introduction of some Ardrossan sires, destined to be absolute marbling machines - Out of a self replacing herd of high marbling Te Mania Angus Cows, By High Marbling Te Mania & Ardrossan Angus Sires. These steers hit the ground with a pre-qualified ticket in to top end feedlots based off their continued carcass performances. These steers have been grazing short Lucerne & Rye pastures, with at lib access to Lucerne Hay & will surely do like steam on a fresh paddock. Very smart line of long, deep bodied steers that come with the agent & assessors highest recommendation. Note. Red Tag - Te Mania ‘P’ Sires. Pink Tags - Te Mania ‘R’ & ‘Q’ Sires, Blue Tag - Ardrossan Angus sire.
