The lead of these steers at 10 months old are quite possibly self weaned, however as a mob they are still on the cows. On running through the yards, the calves were surprisingly settled with a big long race and two strangers with them, and were pretty quick to settle on the scale bar one or two. Given that they are unweaned, normal quiet weaning practices should be followed on introduction to a new home. The steers were certainly quiet in their own surroundings.

Assessor Comments
A well framed lot of steers, suited fattening on grass or hard feed. There are some stronger muscled cattle amongst them that would make great heavy trade steers, and the lot would grow out to good yielding heavy steers. The cows the steers are out of are different breeds (as shown in the photos), but have all done a great job, and stood quietly outside the yards. The vendor is also offering 18 heifers in the same sale, giving the opportunity to put 34 good young cattle together with plenty of scope.
