Temperament not assessed in Paddock
These calves were yarded the evening before assessment and drafted off their mothers. These cattle have not been handled as much as the other 38 steers the vendor has in this sale, and a few were a bit pushy in the race, and one was quite upset whilst confined. Considering they have not been weaned, their temperament was very good, in their own environment. The video shows they are not spooky, and normal weaning practice should see them acclimatise very quickly to a new home.

Assessor Comments
A well bred line of Angus steers with a strong background of selection for marbling that has not compromised their frame or weight for age, several steers were removed from the lot as they were in excess of 400kg and the same age. These cattle will go on to make very good feeders or heavy grass steers. The vendor also has 38 slightly lighter steers that are a month younger in the same sale on another block if a buyer would like to put 88 very nice steers together. Although a little less quiet in the race than the other lot, these steers just stood and looked when photos were taken. At assessment, one steer was seen to have a white pizzle, and a couple more had slight white markings on the underline. Two steers had very slight blue touches on one eye, and another two had a spot on the eye, (all previously treated) see photos.
