Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Out of a herd of beautiful temperament females, these cattle carry a reputation of being very quiet and easy to handle. The odd calf jumped around a little on the scales and in race but were well behaved for calves that have just come off their mothers 4 days ago and it was their first time up the race and crush by themselves. Temperament will improve with handling.

Assessor Comments
Annual turnoff of the Millar Family Steer Weaners. Vendor bred from a closed herd these are the lead draft out of 220 cows. These cattle are well renowned from repeat buyers for their quiet temperament and they will grow out into high grade feeder steers or make ideal export weights with the right conditions. Calves were in the process of being yard weaned on day of assessment and will be released from yards and running on ryegrass pasture 4 days before auction date. Please note that there is one steer with some shorthorn influence showing with a white belly and around 10% have a small patch of white underneath. There were 2 steers with pinkeye scarring and 8 with very slight blue eyes but all had full sight out of the affected eye. Please see photos for the two worst eyes. Raised on grass only and antibiotic free these steer weaners should not disappoint.
