Comment on Fat Score 1 Cattle
The handful of Heifers I assessed as One Score's are strong, healthy, and verging on being Two Scores. The rate they are doing, they will probably be Two Score at delivery in any case.

Weaned using Low Stress Handling techniques including use of dogs. The Meningoort cattle are properly handled and were no problems at all during the assessment process. A handful got a bit agitated in the crush but overall the temperament is excellent .

Assessor Comments
Annual sale of surplus heifers from well known Western District Station, "Meningoort". Calved over 6 Wks and very even for weight, frame and type. The Te Mania and Rennylea Bulls are producing attractive, medium framed, fertile and feed efficient females that would be of interest to both the Trade and Breeders looking to bolster Numbers. These cattle are enjoying an outstanding season and after the usual wet winter they are now doing like steam with the Winter coat flying off them. Will be cherry ripe to take a Bull in the next Month or Two and calve down next Spring. In the mob I noted Three heifers with a blemish in One eye only ( fine to handle in the yards ), One heifer with old Ringworm around the head and One heifer with a splash of white underneath but not forward of the navel. All in all, they are pretty hard to fault.
