Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Weaners were a bit runny in yards and most were agitated in crush. They haven't had a lot of handling to this point and will have benefited from handling at assessment and then the trucking and Weaning process when that occurs will see them not too bad to handle going on previous years.

Assessor Comments
A good quality even line of unweaned Santa / Hereford cross Heifers. They are 1 mark account the breeder and present in forward store to prime condition. These Heifers are showing all the great characteristics off this very good cross. Most of these Heifers are certainly good enough to be retained as Breeders. They are the younger lighter end of the Vendors draft. They range from 200 to 240 kg and average 220 kg kg 3 hours off feed at assessment. Their projected delivery weight is approx. 212.6 kg allowing for a 4% curfew weight loss and a .5 kg weight gain during the delivery period. The heavier end has been removed to leave an even line. These Heifers are ideal to grow out and join or fatten on crop or pasture [PCAS Eligible & Antibiotic free] and would be well suited to a domestic MSA feed program down the track. Eyes are good. Heifers will remain on Cows until trucking. Please note other lines off same property this sale also..
