Spring born heifer calves on behalf of Garras Angus. A great opportunity here to take advantage of some really well bred heifer calves, these heifers are 6-7 months old. Vendor did one round of AI over the herd which included sires of "Landfall" New Ground, "Raven" Powerball and "GB" Fireball then backed up with stud "Hazeldean" angus bulls. Heifers have just been yard weaned. Calves handled well in the yards and through the race. Vendor runs a proportion of stud cows in the herd also. so all cattle are use to regular human contact. Ideal heifers to background and either grow out to feeder weights but would make great future breeders given the time to grow out.

Vendor keeps a small portion of bull calves every year to grow out and on sell therefore heifers have been running with there brothers who are bulls. But with the age of the heifers it is unlikely they have cycled yet.
