Assessor Comments
A line of one mark Bald Blair blood Angus x Angus heifers weaned and immune ready. They were purchased off Auctionsplus as part of the annual trade program following well timed rainfall. However after not receiving any follow up they are unfortunately being offered to the market. These heifers were sold as a complete drop due to the deteriorating seasonal conditions in the north. They were purchased off McKemey Agricultural Trust, Armidale. They have acclimatised and gained weight since arriving and are currently running on open plains country and being supplemented quality cereal hay. 3 head were treated for early stages of active pink eye at assessment and it would be expected that a couple more could appear by delivery. Any active eyes will be treated at delivery. Heifers have white clay on their faces, legs and belly following some showers this week. They are soft coated and appear to be easy doing types. This line represents a complete drop of Sept/Oct 2025 drop Angus heifers in which the lead would normally be retained. They were a pleasure to process through the yards moving freely to pressure and stopping when it was released. Perfect heifers for a trade or to enter a breeding program.
