Buyers, a light B-Double line of weaner steers suitable to background up to export feeder weights. They are considered good to very good quality. These have presented in store to mainly forward store condition. Whilst the season has been marginal for the past few months, they have responded very well to being supplemented with pellets and molasses and don’t look to have had any growth setbacks with the dry weather being experienced. It is good to see steers in this condition as it really gives you a very good perspective of their carcass capabilities. Most show good bone, length and depth of body and muscle development all evident in the photos. They are nice soft calves that have plenty to recommend to backgrounders. Please be aware there are two steers in the lot that are 12 months older (20-21 months), they were mouthed as milk tooths and they weighed 404 & 406kgs. Also see the photos of the eyes that gives a good insight of what is involved with those, no sight issues evident.

Developed black Brigalow/Belah melon hole country that has not seen any rain to speak of through the summer, as a result it is extremely dry. These have been supplemented with Riverina Calf Grower Pellets & also Riverina Backgrounder Select molasses.

These steers would normally be retained and sold as export feeders. They are located only 300 meters off the Cunningham Highway so easily accessible for a backload if required.
