Heifers considering they have only just been weaned were actually good to handle in most areas of the yards. A few did react negatively in the crush but settled quickly once back with the main mob. In the bigger yards they behaved well for photography.

Assessor Comments
A B-Double line of heifers best described as Composites. These will suit backgrounders wishing to grow out to feeder weights. The heifers have only just been weaned and have settled down fairly quickly all things considered. These have been in hand for quite a few days so would envisage rapid compensatory weight gains to whoever buys them. As mentioned there are a small amount of late No3's in the lot and most of them would be the heavier types in the lot. Buyers wishing to get a gauge on the genetic makeup and breed type of the breeder herd can view photos and videos of two lots of PTIC cows being offered from the same property in the Eastern States sale, they are probably the mothers to some of these. Please be advised these have had no chemical pre-treatments in preparation for entry to tick free areas. Note there is also a road train load of steers (brothers to these) also being offered in the sale.
