Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Heifers were predominantly good to handle in the crush and race. They did react negatively when being mouthed but that is not unusual. In the bigger yards most were very easy to handle however the video will demonstrate their is the odd ring leader that was reasonably quick. Nothing that was considered aggressive however if isolated and in a confined area they could potentially become aggressive. Just handle nice and quietly and there will be no problems.

Assessor Comments
Buyers a neat 4 deck load of predominantly 'flatback' type heifers that are suitable for direct entry into a domestic feedlot program. There are a small amount of heifers that do have a bit of Droughtmaster content so do have some ear but only very minimal hump. The heifers range from store to forward store condition with the very odd heifer almost fat. As you will see from the sample mouthed they just starting to cut teeth. Age is genuine as this vendor has a controlled mating. Most are just starting to clean up in the coat and there were a couple that were showing signs of lice however the backliner applied at assessment is likely to clean that up. Any heifers with horns deemed a bit long were tipped. In the line there were 31 transported from the vendor's other property at Rolleston the day prior to assessment and they presented in very plain condition so would expect a huge amount of compensatory gain on that portion. These are also GUARANTEED CLEAR OF TICKS.
