A line of coastal bred steers that have been weaned and handled and represent an opportunity to capture some compensatory gain. These steers have originally been bred at Carmilla Glen on the coast approximately 220km north of Rockhampton. They were tailed and paddocked there for 3 weeks until they were trucked to "Mandalay" to eradicate them of any Rats tail. They have been on a mix of hay and molasses there for 10 days up to the time of assessment. Most of the steers have good frame and stand on reasonable bone and will perform well on some stronger country.
1 steer that is double muscled and is a plain type and another with his tail twisted. both will be discounted $300 off the sale price.
