Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Steers worked well through yards during assessment. Large % of steers were settle and worked quietly through force, race and crush. % of steers became unsettled when confined but were quick to resettle once released back into mob. In bigger yards steers tended to stay mobbed up and move away from people but showing no malice. Steers were nervous if pressure was applied but very controllable.

Assessor Comments
A line of 31 predominately Droughtmaster steers presenting in healthy forward store condition that had an average weight at assessment of 397.8kg after a -5% curfew. Buyers a good opportunity to purchase a line of crossbred steers that would be ideal to feed or grow into bullocks on oats. Steers have done very well since being purchased and should continue to do so if introduced to equal or higher nutrition.
